The iBGStarTM not only gives you accurate blood glucose readings, but when linked to your iPhone® or iPod touch®, it provides you with a wealth of information. The iBGStarTM is designed for your lifestyle.

No coding required.
Checking your blood glucose readings with the iBGStarTM couldn’t be simpler. With the iBGStarTM connected to your iPhone® or iPod touch®, insert a test strip with the contact bars facing up. Use the lancing device to obtain a blood drop* then touch the end of the test strip to your blood drop. A beep on your iPhone® or iPod touch® confirms a correct reading and that your data has been synced.* The iBGStarTM also works as a stand-alone meter, and when synced with your Apple iOS 3.0 device or higher, will also display the date and time. The meter can store up to 300 readings.

The iBGStarTM employs a patented technology called Dynamic Electrochemistry® – advanced technology that extracts a spectrum of information from the blood that is inaccessible to traditional electrochemical methods. This method compensates for many interfering factors that can often distort blood glucose results, helping to ensure accurate and reliable blood glucose readings. A complex signal detects and corrects the common errors for accurate performance.

Thanks to your automatically downloaded Diabetes Manager App, your iBGStarTM is highly customisable. There are separate screens for your Trend Chart, Logbook and Statistics, and your data is displayed in easy-to-read charts on your iPhone® or iPod touch®. These three powerful tools record blood glucose readings over time and provide you with at-a-glance views of your display averages, standard deviations, total blood glucose readings and insulin doses, allowing you to track your trends over time.glucose reading tests allowing you track your trends over time.

The iBGStarTM Diabetes Manager App has a built-in note feature that lets you provide context for unusual readings. So if you just took insulin, ate something you normally don’t, or went for a run, the App can help you keep track of it. If ever there’s a problem with your blood glucose readings, your iBGStarTM will keep you updated by displaying hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic alerts when they are out of the normal range.

When I do something out of the ordinary, like go for a really long run or eat more than usual, I can just add a note and the iBG Star interprets it correctly. Now that’s amazing!
