You check your blood glucose readings regularly, so your meter is an important part of your life. Sanofi’s track record of creating effective solutions for people living with diabetes has lead to the development of the BGStarTM, a blood glucose monitoring device with the tools and a support system to put you in control of your diabetes and not the other way around.
No coding required.
Checking your blood glucose with the BGStarTM couldn’t be simpler. Insert a test strip with the contact bars facing up. Use the lancing device to obtain a blood drop* then touch the end of the test strip to your blood drop. A beep confirms a correct reading and a scrolling bar indicates that the meter is calculating your readings. No coding eliminates the risk of inaccurate readings due to miscoding, and the BGStarTM requires only a small blood drop, helping to reduce multiple finger sticks

Simple to use. Stylishly discrete.
The BGStarTM has a large, easy-to-read backlit display in a sleek, compact design for discrete measuring. A smiley face icon clearly indicates when you’re in the proper range. The data is displayed quickly, and a visual countdown and a beep let you know when your reading is done. It’s a straightforward process that takes an average of 6 seconds.

The BGStarTM employs a patented technology called Dynamic Electrochemistry® –advanced technology that extracts a spectrum of information from the blood that is inaccessible to traditional electrochemical methods. This method compensates for many interfering factors that can often distort blood glucose results, helping to ensure accurate and reliable blood glucose readings. The BGStarTM has many features that you can personalize. You can add mealtime tags to each reading that you take to help you flag blood glucose patterns. The BGStarTM tags your readings as happening before or after meals. These averages allow you to see how your blood glucose level varies by time of day. You can also see your blood glucose averages over 14-, 30- and 90-day periods. Hyperglycemic and hypoglycemic alerts, as well as seven programmable alarms, make it easier to take control of your diabetes.

The BGStarTM Diabetes Management Software is an advanced digital tool that gives you all the information you need to control your diabetes. From your computer you can access an easy-to-use interface featuring a Trend Chart, Logbook, Statistics and more. You can share your personal diabetes information with your health professionals to help them analyze patterns and glucose variations. You can then store and print out your results or share them by email. It’s that simple.
